Below is a mapping of the 6X6X6 (216) color palette used by Netscape, Microsoft and many other browsers. The palette consists of all the combinations of 00, 33, 66, 99, CC, FF for each of the red, green, and blue elements of the color descriptor. This results in 216 (6x6x6) distinct colors that may be rendered without dithering on a 256 color display. Other colors of the 256 colors available in browsers are used by the resepective operating system.

Instructions:
You must be using a browser that supports client side image maps and
Javascript, and it must be enabled.
Move the mouse pointer over any color in the palette above to display its
value in hexadecimal, decimal, and percentage mixes of Red, Green and Blue.
Click on a color to freeze the display, and you can easily copy/paste. When
you wish to continue, press the Reset button.
