There are several services available that will submit your web site to anywhere from 50 to 600 or more search engines and directories usually for under $100.00.

Sounds good? It sure does but you should understand their limitations. First of all, out of 600+ search engines and directories, the top 10 receive the vast majority of traffic. With so much at stake, it is critical to submit your web site properly with each of these top search engines. One limitation of these submission services is the inability to submit more than 1 page from your web site to those search engines that accept multiple page submissions.

If you can request the submission service to exclude the top ten search engines from their submission so that you can submit to them individually, it is probably money well spent.

Manual submission: Submit to google and Yahoo! manually to help establish your site on the two most important search engines.
