March 2001

This was a stressful month. Everyone we've told about the project has commented that we will need a strong marriage in order to survive this experience. No worries there, Randy and I are doing fine, but it's the people and situations around you that stress you out.

Our stresses related to the fact that the footings and foundation walls were just taking way too long and the budget for this portion of the project was shot. We needed to do something for our sanity, and our bank account. The result was that we got the basement slab poured, and the garage footing poured and we said good-bye to the concrete contractors.

Randy was there for the big pour. He's the one without a shirt on.

The pipes you see sticking up is rough plumbing for the basement bathroom/darkroom. The pipes also will tie in to the boys bathroom almost directly above.

Panning to the "right", we are viewing the playroom area and the section that jets out will eventually become my office.

The final pan, shows Randy's workshop directly behind by future office space.
