Some people might find it disturbing to have planes flying overhead, but we quite enjoy it. So far, we've seen the Thunderbirds take off (they were in town to finalize plans for this year's Airshow), several very nice private jets, a C-141 and many military helicopters. Randy particularly likes the sounds of the military aircraft, he calls it the "sound of freedom".

This is the view from the back of the property. We look upon Hwy 68 which connects the Monterey Bay area to Salinas and the Salinas Valley, known as the "Salad Bowl" of America. The grassy looking spot in the middle of the photo is Laguna Seca Golf Course. It is a public course just down the road from us and one of these days I am going to find out just what hole we look down upon.
