Sharp, Sepia-tone Real Photo Postcard of Banff Avenue looking into Banff, Canada and Cascade Mountain, taken by the renowed photographer Byron Harmon (1876-1942), sometime in the 1930s. The Photo and Film shop on the left may be the Harmon studio, as it was located on this street in the thirties. This image is likely one of the selections of views and postcards for "newsies" Harmon produced for Canadian Pacific Railway passenger trains. Great details in the image of the people on bikes, vintage autos, and stores such as the White's Meat Market and the Fur Shop are seen in the inset.
Caption on the card in the celluloid reads "876. Banff Avenue From Bridge." No writing or address on reverse and card not posted. Stamped on the back is the Identification: POST CARD An interesting addition to your BANFF, Canada and Byron Harmon historical collection. Condition:
