Sharp, glossy Real Photo Postcard of Mt. Meeker in the Colorado Rockies, with Camp St. Malo in the foreground. For almost a century, the land at the eastern base of Mount Meeker in the Colorado Rocky Mountains has been special to the Catholic Church. There is a sense of the holy attached to the place and the huge rocks on which the statue of Christ and the chapel in this photo now stands. The camp was used by Pope John Paul II during his visit to the United States in 1993 for a day of quiet reflection. This photo was taken along the South St. Vrain Road, and shows great detail.
