Old Covered Bridge - Santa Cruz

Clear and sharp, glossy Real Photo Postcard (RPPC) of the scenic bridge built in 1872, spanning 180 feet across the San Lorenzo River. It is at the edge of Henry Cowell Park, and is the only bridge in the county still in use today by both pedestrians and vehicles. It was originally built for access to a gunpowder works, and is now closed to the public except by permission.

Writing on front of card reads: "THE OLD COVERED BRIDGE, PARADISE PARK, SANTA CRUZ, CALIF."

Photographer's mark, 3070 LAWS is written in lower left.

Card has no writing on reverse, and is not used.

Stampbox EKC confirms the printing between 1930 and 1950.

Interesting addition to Covered Bridge or Santa Cruz photo collection.

Condition:
  • Excellent condition, with only the slightest age yellowing on reverse
  • Corners and edges are generally very sharp
