RPPC Mt. Shasta-Dunsmuir Bridge,Cal State Highway 1932

Clear, Real Photo Postcard showing a beautiful bridge-forest-mountain landscape with Mt. Shasta-Dunsmuir Bridge viewed from the south looking up at Mt. Shasta in Siskiyou County, California. The beautiful stone arch bridge spanning the canyon was part of CA State Highway 99. Historic CA and U.S. 99, once the "Main Street of California," was eliminated as an extant route during the 1964 California U.S. Highway Purge. It was mostly replaced by Interstate 5, although a significant portion exists today as California 99 and California 86. It was eliminated in its entirety from the Golden State by 1969.
